​​Quality Objectives of the Cooperatives Division 

•      :: To provide appropriate legal framework for the cooperative sector of the economy 
•      :: To ensure timely auditing – auditing to be completed within three months after receipt of final  
       accounts and balance sheets of cooperative societies 
•      :: To monitor closely the work of cooperative societies by having regular site visits (at least once
       quarterly) 
•      :: To register cooperative societies within 3 days provided all criteria are met 
•      :: To devise schemes/programmes/projects for the promotion and development of the cooperative
       sector 
•      :: To reinforce facilities and support services to consolidate existing cooperatives and encourage the
       setting up of new societies in emerging and green sectors especially among the youth and women 
•      :: To review the legal and institutional framework as well as the fiscal and policy support to further
       promote the development of the cooperative sector ​​
